Cooking Classes/Parties

Cooking class parties are a fun way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, wedding or baby showers. They are a great alternative to going out with friends, stay in and enjoy some casual instruction for an interactive evening where you can enjoy eating something you learned to create yourself. Private cooking instruction is also available.

Do I need to be home when you cook?
No, you don–t, although you can be if you wish. We will be cooking several different entrees and side dishes from scratch, so it will take several hours. An exact time frame is not possible, but we can make arrangements in advance so that the cooking date fits into your schedule.

Do I need to provide any equipment?
Not at all. We bring everything with us, from knives to pans. All we use in your kitchen is the refrigerator, freezer, sink, stove/oven, and counters.

Is this service expensive?
When considering the cost of the personal chef service, it is important to factor in the cost of the alternative. When cooking for yourself and your family, you incur the cost of food, of course; however, you need to consider also the amount of time you spend planning, shopping for, preparing, and cleaning up. Don’t forget to factor in all of the perishables you frequently purchase and intend to cook, only to find you don’t have the time. Not to mention restaurant and takeout costs. In hiring Chef Laurel, you are provided with both great meals and more time to spend as you wish. The pricing schedule is commensurate with the amount of money and time you spend in your own kitchen.
